How can I meet with my counselor?
To meet with your counselor, check in at the front desk in the counseling office. There will be a clipboard where you can write your name and reason for a visit. Your counselor will call you down when they become available.
If it's an emergency, be sure to tell our counseling secretary so she can inform the counselors.

During Distance Learning, you can click on the page on this website titled "Schedule a Counseling Appointment" to view instructions on how to make an appointment with your school counselor.
How can I make a schedule change request?
Schedule changes are only made in the first 2 weeks of a new semester. To request a change, you will need to fill out a "Student Schedule Change Request" form that you can find in the counseling office and return it by the deadline.
What can I talk with my counselor about?
You can speak with your school counselor about school, struggles with family or peers, personal concerns like depression and/or anxiety, reporting safety concerns, and the list goes on. School counselors are comfortable speaking with you about anything and are here to support all students.
What is confidentiality and do school counselors keep things confidential?
Confidentiality means that something that is said between two or more people is kept private and is not repeated to anyone else. During counseling sessions with your school counselor, we promise to keep our conversations confidential unless there is a safety concern.
When there is a safety concern, we may have to alert parents, school administration, or outside resources (such as the police or paramedics).
What is considered a safety concern?
What school counselors consider a safety concern and what we are required to report is:

-Another student is harming you
-You are harming yourself
-You want to harm another student
